 ★★★★★ We stayed at Makena Landing with our five daughters and their spouses/ boyfriends. It was our first trip to  Hawaii and we were so happy with the house and location. The view is  spectacular and we all enjoyed hanging out at the stone pier with the  waves crashing right at our feet. The house was clean and so comfortable  for our large group. The sea turtles swimming right up to the rocks  were fun to watch and we loved being able to jump in the water from our  backyard and snorkel for hours. The beach which was a short swim or walk  from the house was uncrowded and serene. We also were just a short  drive from markets and restaurants. We could not have enjoyed our trip  more and would love to return.

  ★★★★★ Seven of us, ages 18 to 69, stayed at this wonderful property to celebrate my upcoming 70th birthday. While the  website pictures were beautiful, they didn't do justice to the actual  beauty of the property. We were blown away by the reality of what we found when we arrived. Even before we unpacked the car, we went down to  the water and there were two large turtles swimming right in front of us  to greet us! Although we had lots of activities scheduled during our  week stay, we hated leaving the house. Our favorite activity was  spending time on the stone terrace starring at the view in front of the  house. Watching the surf crash on the rocks was mesmerizing. We loved  sitting on the porch or on the terrace eating our meals or having a beer or glass of wine. The house is very well outfitted, the Lu'uwais  thought of everything a family would need to enjoy themselves and be  comfortable. There is a beach literally next door and probably five  others within five minutes away. They are all set up with a big grill  outside and the kitchen is also well equipped. The only problem is that  all our family keeps asking when we can go back. The Lu'uwais are great  hosts. 

 ★★★★★  I am so happy we rented this property. We  were in Maui for our wedding and had the immediate family stay at the  house with us. The wedding location was on the same street just 7 houses  down, so it was super convenient to stay here. The property is spacious  with 4 large bedrooms. It has a fully stocked kitchen and we hosted  small get-togethers for our guests throughout the week. Everyone was  blown away by how beautiful the house and the view was.  You have a view  of the ocean from every room and it was amazing to just sit in the  backyard with a cup of coffee and enjoy the ocean breeze. Staying here  really made our wedding extra special and we are already talking about  planning another trip to Maui in order to stay here again!
